This page is hosted as the public privacy statement for StereoGen. It is not legal advice; have counsel review it if your circumstances require legal review.
Overview
StereoGen is a desktop application that creates single-image stereograms (autostereograms) from a depth map and a texture that you provide. Core processing runs entirely on your device. StereoGen does not require an account and does not upload your images to servers operated by Lan Fan.
Data we process

Local configuration storage
On Windows, option preferences may be stored under a path similar to:
%APPDATA%\com.lanfan.stereogen\
(Exact location is determined by the OS and the app identifier.)
You can delete this folder to reset preferences. Uninstalling the app may or may not remove it, depending on the installer and Windows settings.
Data we do not collect
Lan Fan does not, through the StereoGen application:
- Create user accounts or require sign-in
- Collect names, email addresses, or payment data inside the app
- Upload depth maps, textures, or generated images to our servers
- Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app (as of the date above)
- Track your location
Network use
Generating stereograms does not require network access.
The Windows installer may install or update the Microsoft WebView2 runtime (used to display the app UI). That component is provided by Microsoft and is subject to Microsoft’s terms and privacy policy.
If you download StereoGen from the Microsoft Store or our website, that download and any store account activity are governed by Microsoft (or your host’s) policies, not by this document alone.
Children
StereoGen is a general-purpose graphics utility. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Do not open files you do not want the app to read.
- Save outputs only to locations you control.
- Clear or delete the local config directory to remove stored options.
- Uninstall the application via Windows Settings or the installer.

We do not control third-party privacy practices. Review their policies separately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the app’s behavior changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy, where permitted by law.
