StereoGen 0.2.0 Release Notes

StereoGen 0.2.0 is a Microsoft Store feature update centered on the focused Depth Map → Texture → Stereogram workflow.

New in this release

Workflow at a glance

Version 0.2.0 no longer requires every intermediate image to be prepared in a separate program. Text, built-in geometric meshes, and external OBJ/GLB/GLTF models can generate depth directly. The same model can then produce a strictly aligned outline, flat fill, or textured material render.

The Texture sidebar also includes Random color presets and Scatter textures that combine up to four built-in elements.

Scatter Texture settings

Regular stereograms and mapped-texture results can be retained in the in-memory layer stack, arranged in calculation order, assigned independent Blend and Alpha settings, and composited into a new result. The built-in stack is intended for a small number of quick layers. Exporting to Krita, Photoshop, or another editor remains a supported advanced workflow for masks, local edits, unlimited layers, and persistent intermediate files.

Perspective Curve k can be entered directly or derived from screen DPI, eye separation, viewing distance, and the near/far depths.
